Job summary

Indeed is seeking a Senior FinOps Analyst to advise on cloud spending and drive optimization with APAC-based R&D teams. The role focuses on real-time guidance, anomaly investigations, and engagement with top-spending orgs to keep costs in line with forecasts.

The candidate will support cost awareness, showback reporting, and maintain the Cloud Economics wiki, while ensuring cross-team collaboration and transparent cost governance across remote teams.

Qualifications

• Senior FinOps experience with cloud spend management.
• Ability to investigate spend anomalies and provide root-cause analyses.
• Experience advising engineering/R&D teams on cloud cost.
• Forecasting central vs team-level spend forecasts.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for R&D teams seeking cloud cost guidance via Slack and other channels.
• Review monthly cloud spending with APAC-based colleagues; surface cost opportunities and document summaries.
• Monitor cloud/AI/LLM spend for anomalies; perform investigations and produce root-cause analyses.
• Participate in monthly MICRO forecasting; align forecasts with team projections.
• Contribute to showback reporting and cost awareness initiatives.
• Audit and update the Cloud Economics wiki space and related docs.
