Qualifications

• 4+ years of FinOps experience and strong cloud cost management expertise.
• Ability to investigate spend anomalies and write root-cause analyses.
• Experience advising R&D/engineering teams as a partner-facing resource.
• Forecasting cloud costs and aligning central forecasts with team plans.
• Familiarity with AI/LLM cost drivers and monitoring spend.
• Cost modeling, team investment tracking, and Jira documentation skills.
• Proficient in documenting investigations in Slack and Confluence/wiki spaces.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for stakeholders.
• Availability to cover APAC business hours with PST/CST overlap.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for R&D teams seeking cloud cost guidance via Slack and other channels.
• Engage with APAC-based teams to review monthly cloud spend and surface cost opportunities.
• Monitor cloud and AI/LLM spend for anomalies; produce root-cause analyses and optimization recommendations in Jira.
• Participate in monthly forecasting with assigned R&D teams and document spend plans.
• Contribute to showback reporting with AI/LLM cost driver insights for team meetings.
• Support cost awareness and education; audit related wiki pages and reports.
• Model team cost projections and respond to inquiries via Slack, email, and other channels.
