AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Senior FinOps Analyst to advise engineering on cloud costs and optimization. The role requires APAC hours with overlap across PST and CST, including evenings. You will partner with R&D teams, monitor spend, and deliver analyses and actionable recommendations.

You will coordinate monthly forecasts, contribute to showback reporting, and maintain technical documentation while communicating effectively with stakeholders across time zones.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of FinOps experience.
• Strong cloud cost management and optimization expertise.
• Ability to investigate spend anomalies and produce root-cause analyses.
• Experience advising R&D/engineering teams as a partner-facing resource.
• Cloud cost forecasting experience with alignment to team projections.
• Familiarity with OpenAI/LLM cost drivers and monitoring LLM spend.
• Cost modeling and team investment tracking.
• Proficiency with Jira for investigations and Slack for real-time support.
• Experience in maintaining documentation/wiki and recurring reporting (Showback).
• Strong written and verbal communication for stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for R&D teams seeking cloud cost guidance via Slack and other channels.
• Conduct proactive engagement with APAC-based colleagues to review monthly cloud spend and surface cost opportunities.
• Monitor cloud and AI/LLM spend for anomalies; produce root-cause analyses and deliver optimization recommendations.
• Participate in monthly forecasting with assigned R&D teams and align central forecasts with team plans.
• Contribute to showback reporting with AI/LLM cost drivers and cost awareness efforts.
• Audit and update the relevant wiki space and support cost education.
• Model team cost projections and respond to requests via Slack, email and other channels.
