Job summary

AgileEngine, LLC. is seeking a Senior FinOps Analyst to advise engineering teams on cloud costs and optimization. The role requires overlapping with APAC business hours, including evening/night shifts in LATAM/US, with PST and afternoon CST overlap.

You will serve as the primary FinOps contact for R&D teams, monitor spend, and deliver written root-cause analyses and actionable recommendations. This position offers a flexible schedule with remote and office options.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work for any employer in the US; no visa sponsorship.
• 4+ years of FinOps experience.
• Strong cloud cost management and optimization expertise.
• Investigate spend anomalies and produce root-cause analyses.
• Partner-facing experience advising with R&D/engineering teams.
• Cloud cost forecasting with alignment to team projections.
• Familiarity with OpenAI/LLM cost drivers and monitoring.
• Cost modeling and tracking team investments/project costs.
• Proficient with Jira for investigations and Slack for support.
• Maintain technical documentation/wiki spaces and recurring reporting.
• Strong written and verbal communication for stakeholders.
• Availability to cover APAC hours with PST/CST overlap.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for R&D teams seeking cloud cost guidance via Slack and other channels.
• Conduct proactive engagement with APAC spenders to review monthly cloud costs and roadmap impacts; document summaries.
• Monitor cloud and AI/LLM spend for anomalies; perform root-cause analyses and deliver optimization recommendations; log in Jira.
• Participate in monthly forecasting; align central forecasts with team projections and document spend plans.
• Contribute to showback reporting and top spending meetings; maintain cost driver awareness.
• Support Cost Awareness and Cost Education; audit and update wiki pages.
• Model team cost projections and respond to inquiries via Slack and email.
