Job summary

Troutman Pepper Locke LLP seeks an experienced Finance Manager to lead the finance team and oversee daily operations, reporting, budgeting, and performance analytics. You will develop and implement reporting tools, mentor staff, and ensure data integrity in collaboration with Accounting and IT.

The role emphasizes building KPI-based management reporting, supporting the annual budgeting process, and providing actionable insights to senior leadership across the firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related business discipline.
• Minimum eight (8) years of progressive experience in finance or FP&A roles, preferably in a law firm or professional services.
• Minimum four (4) years of experience leading or supervising analysts or similar staff.
• Advanced proficiency with ERP/GL and BI tools; strong Excel skills.
• Experience with financial planning, variance analysis, and management reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the finance team, ensuring accurate reporting and analysis.
• Oversee monthly/quarterly variance analyses versus budget and forecast.
• Drive budgeting, reforecasts, and multi-period outlooks.
• Develop tools and dashboards to improve visibility into key metrics.
• Coordinate data collection and consolidation with Accounting and IT.
• Support cash flow management including WIP and AR aging analyses.
• Champion process improvements and finance transformation initiatives.
