Job summary

Troutman Pepper Locke LLP is seeking a Finance Manager to lead the Finance department, oversee daily operations, and deliver timely financial analytics for firm leadership. You will drive budgeting, variance analyses, and strategic reporting, translating executive strategies into actionable plans across the firm, offices, and practice groups.

The role requires strong leadership, deep accounting knowledge, SQL/BI skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while upholding

Qualifications

• Eight years of progressive finance/FP&A experience, preferably in law/professional services.
• At least four years leading analysts or staff.
• Advanced proficiency in financial analysis, internal reporting and variance analysis.
• Proficiency with ERP/GL, time & billing systems; strong Excel skills and BI tools.
• Strong communication, ethics, confidentiality, and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily finance operations and reporting for the firm, practice groups, and offices.
• Maintain and enhance dashboards and KPI frameworks.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasts, and multi-period outlooks.
• Coach and develop finance team members; deliver performance feedback.
• Ensure data integrity and collaborate with Accounting and IT.
• Provide ad hoc analyses for leadership and external benchmarking.
