Job summary

IDEXX is seeking a Field Sales Veterinary Diagnostic Consultant (VDC) to drive growth with our veterinary customers across the Philadelphia South territory. You will build relationships, educate clinics, and translate customer needs into IDEXX diagnostic solutions, aiming to increase recurring revenue through tests, instruments, and services.

You will collaborate with regional IDEXX sales teams, co-sell capital equipment, and train clinic staff on products and initiatives while staying current

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of proven outside sales experience.
• Territory management experience in veterinary/animal health or medical device sales.
• Ability to work well in a team oriented, collaborative sales environment.
• Willingness to extensive car travel, some overnight travel, potential weekend work; able to lift up to 60 lbs; valid driver’s license.
• This is veterinary sales; comfortable visiting veterinary clinics and hospital environments.
• Candidates must reside within or relocate to the Philadelphia South territory.

Responsibilities

• Leverage your ability to independently manage your territory and customer base to increase recurring diagnostic revenue year over year and attain quarterly medical device equipment sales.
• Collaborate and co-sell with other IDEXX sales professionals in the region to close capital equipment and technology.
• Educate and train veterinary clinic staff about products, services and marketing initiatives, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of IDEXX products and services.
• Communicate customer needs and competitive issues to IDEXX’s marketing organization and business unit manager, and coordinate with laboratory operations to address service issues.
• Present IDEXX values to customers professionally, including industry knowledge, veterinary practice, customers, technology, operations and processes.
• Attend trade shows and regional educational events as needed.
• Manage IDEXX expenses and resources in line with company guidelines.
• Adhere to and model IDEXX purpose and guiding principles.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
