Job summary

IDEXX Laboratories, Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking a Field Sales Veterinary Diagnostic Consultant (VDC) to build strong relationships with veterinary customers and drive IDEXX's diagnostic portfolio.

You will manage your territory independently, educate clinics about products, collaborate with regionally, and attend trade shows. A bachelor's degree and 5+ years of outside sales within veterinary/animal health or medical devices are preferred; a valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of outside sales experience managing a territory.
• Experience in veterinary/animal health or medical device sales is a plus.
• Ability to work in a team oriented, collaborative environment.
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for field visits.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own territory and drive recurring diagnostic equipment and test sales.
• Educate veterinary clinics about IDEXX products and services.
• Collaborate with regional colleagues to close capital equipment deals.
• Communicate customer needs and competitive issues to marketing and management.
• Attend trade shows and events in the region.
