bioMerieux Inc. is seeking a Field Systems Engineer to service customers in North Carolina and nationally as needed. The role involves installing, maintaining, upgrading, and repairing instruments, often at customer sites, with overnight travel and on-call responsibilities.

Training is required in the first year, and the position emphasizes strong customer service and cross-functional collaboration. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree or 6+ years of related experience, plus 2+ years

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 6+ years of relevant experience.
• 2+ years troubleshooting/repair of electro-mechanical systems.
• Valid driver's license in state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer needs and perform installations, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs.
• Build trust with customers and promote service agreements.
• Drive field service revenue via preventive maintenance and equipment moves.
• Attend 6–9 weeks of product training at Durham, NC or St. Louis, MO.
• Travel includes daily customer visits with potential overnight stays.
• Participate in weekend/holiday on-call rotation (~every 5 weeks).
• Complete service work orders, QA checklists, and training requirements.
• Maintain calendar of availability and submit travel expense reports.
