Job summary

bioMerieux is seeking a Field Systems Engineer to service customers within the assigned territory and nationally on an as-needed basis. The role is remote with overnight travel and requires prompt installations, maintenance, and repairs to ensure instruments meet specifications.

The position emphasizes customer relationships, service revenue growth through preventive maintenance, and collaboration with sales and applications teams. Training is provided, with travel across the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering, Electronic Technology, Computer Science, Biomedical or related discipline.
• 2+ years of professional related experience troubleshooting and/or repair of complex electro-mechanical, electronic, computer, electrical systems.
• Education Substitution: 6+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license in state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer needs and perform installations, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs.
• Build trust with customers, promote service agreements, and identify sales opportunities.
• Drive field service revenue through billable offerings and equipment moves.
• Attend product training at Durham, NC or St. Louis, MO offices within the first year.
