Job summary

bioMerieux is seeking a Field Systems Engineer to service customers across the territory and nationally as needed. The role is remote-friendly and requires overnight travel with some local workload.

You will install, maintain, and repair complex instruments while promoting service agreements and collaborating with sales and applications teams. The ideal candidate has a engineering- or related-degree and 2+ years of hands-on experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent in engineering, electronics, CS, or biomedical field.
• 2+ years troubleshooting or repair experience on electro-mechanical systems.
• In lieu of degree, 6+ years relevant field experience accepted.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license and be able to travel.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer needs and perform installations, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs to ensure instruments meet specs.
• Build trust with customers, promote service agreements, and identify cross-sell opportunities.
• Foster teamwork across service and support teams while driving field service revenue.
• Attend 6–9 weeks of product training in the first year at designated offices.
• Travel for visits, with overnight stays as needed, including occasional national travel.
