Job summary

bioMérieux is seeking a Field Systems Engineer to service customers across the United States, including nationwide coverage on an as-needed basis. This role involves remote work with potential overnight travel and a strong emphasis on customer experience.

You will install, maintain, upgrade, and repair instruments; build trusted relationships with customers; promote service agreements; and contribute to revenue through billable maintenance and equipment moves.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronic Technology, Computer Science, Biomedical or related field.
• 2+ years of troubleshooting/repair experience on electro-mechanical, electronic, or electrical systems.
• Education substitution: 6+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Valid driver's license in state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer needs with installations, maintenance, upgrades and repairs.
• Build trust with customers, promote service agreements, and identify sales opportunities.
• Drive field service revenue through billable maintenance and equipment moves.
• Attend 6–9 weeks of product training at Durham, NC or St. Louis, MO in year one.
• Travel for customer visits, with overnight travel as needed.
• Complete work orders and QA checklists accurately and on time.
• Maintain fleet, inventory and equipment in good condition.
