Job summary

bioMérieux is seeking a Field Systems Engineer to service customers across a broad territory, including national support. The role requires independent work, remote coordination, and periodic overnight travel to ensure instrument performance and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include installing and maintaining equipment, promoting service agreements, and driving revenue through billable services while collaborating with sales and applications teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering or related discipline required.
• 6+ years of relevant troubleshooting/repair experience acceptable in lieu of degree.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer needs and perform installations, maintenance, upgrades and repairs.
• Promote service agreements and identify cross-functional sales opportunities.
• Drive field service revenue through billable offerings.
• Attend product training at Durham, NC or St. Louis, MO within the first year.
• Travel for visits, with overnight stays as needed; participate in on-call rotation.
• Complete work orders, QA checklists and training requirements on time.
• Maintain calendar and submit travel expenses regularly.
• Manage fleet, inventory and equipment per policy.
• Collaborate with sales and applications teams to enhance customer experience.
