Job summary

bioMérieux seeks a Field Systems Engineer to service customers across the United States, traveling as needed. You will install, maintain, and repair instruments, build customer relationships, and promote service agreements.

The role requires independent work, occasional overnight travel, and adherence to quality procedures. Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a related field or 6+ years of relevant experience, plus a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronic Technology, Computer Science, Biomedical or related discipline.
• 2+ years of professional experience in troubleshooting and/or repair of complex electro-mechanical, electronic, computer, electrical systems.
• Education substitution: 6+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license in state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer needs and perform installations, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs of instruments.
• Build trust with customers, promote service agreements, and identify sales opportunities.
• Drive field service revenue through preventive maintenance and equipment moves.
• Attend product training at designated offices within the first year.
