Job summary

Pregis is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, repair, maintain and manage Pregis Packaging equipment and Sharp Systems, with a primary focus on Pregis packaging hardware. You will communicate with Systems Administrators, Regional and Account Managers, and customers about technical and non-technical information regarding the equipment.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from 2-year college preferred.
• At least 5 years of related experience and/or training preferred.
• Mechanical assembly skills and ability to read blueprints/manuals/electrical schematics.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting, calibration, and maintenance skills and some electrical aptitude.
• Excellent communication skills with customers at all levels.
• Ability to work with little supervision and manage time effectively.
• Clean driving record; company car provided.
• Ability to travel daily within assigned territory.
• May lift up to 50lbs.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver in-field support and optimize material delivery systems.
• Implement preventive maintenance schedules and monitor equipment/material utilization.
• Demonstrate Pregis systems and provide end-user training on procedures and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot film, consumables, and machinery issues and generate quality reports.
• Complete all service-related documentation accurately and on time.
• Inspect systems and advise on proactive measures to reduce outages and maintain workflow.
• Serve as the primary technical resource for assigned products with up-to-date knowledge.
• Maintain inventory control for parts and tools and document service work.
• Mentor others in troubleshooting methodologies and coordinate field testing of new products.
