Job summary

Pregis LLC is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, repair, and manage Pregis Packaging and related equipment. The role involves remote work within a defined territory with daily local travel to customer sites in North America, plus overtime as required.

The technician will communicate with administrators and account managers, perform hands-on demonstrations, and ensure proper documentation. A strong background in mechanical systems, troubleshooting, and customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from a 2-year college.
• 5+ years of related field service experience preferred.
• Mechanical assembly and ability to read blueprints/manuals/electrical schematics.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance skills with some electrical aptitude.
• Excellent communication with internal and external customers at all levels.
• Willingness to travel within assigned territory; travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Deliver in-field support and optimize material delivery systems.
• Implement preventive maintenance schedules and track equipment usage.

Field Service Technician

Location: Northeast Atlanta (with easy access to the I-85 corridor and I-285 perimeter).

Job Summary

Reporting to the Field Services Manager, the Field Service Technician’s primary function is the installation, repair,maintenanceand management of both Pregis Packaging and Sharp Systems/Equipment, with predominate focus on Pregis Packaging equipment. In addition toassistingwith the equipment needs of their customers, it is the responsibility of Pregis Field Service Technicians to effectively communicate with Pregis Systems Administrators, Regional and Account Managers, and customers about technical and non-technical informationregardingtheir equipment.

Job Location

Fully remote and based out of your assigned Territory or Regional area (Northeast ATL)

Daily local travel Monday to Friday to customer sites. Overtime asrequired.

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver in-field support andoptimizematerial delivery systems.
• Implement comprehensive preventive maintenance schedules, including machine tracking and monitoring of equipment and materialutilization.
• Conduct hands-on demonstrations of Pregis systems anddeliveredend-user training on operational procedures and preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshot film, consumable, and machinery issues while generating detailed quality control reports.
• Ensuretimelyand thorough completion of all service-related documentation
• Perform thorough system inspections andadvisesclients on proactive measures to reduce unplanned outages andmaintainworkflow continuity.
• Functions as the primary technical resource for assigned products, providing expert-level troubleshooting andmaintainingup-to-date knowledge of product operations and applications.
• Maintains accuracy and completeness in the preparation of all required documentation.
• Maintains inventory control for parts and tools and ensures thorough documentation and reporting of completed service work.
• Executes debugging and correction of operating procedures andmentorsothers in troubleshooting methodologies.
• Coordinates andfacilitatesfield testing of new products, updates, and change orders, analyzing equipment performance and delivering comprehensive reports and documentation.
• Maintains precise and current records for all co-managed parts andtoolinventories.
• Consistently adheres to full compliance with established financial and operational policies and procedures.
• Available to travel upon request to provide support at other service locations across North America.
• Supports and develops Field Services staff through problem-solving collaboration and may oversee assigned customer or account portfolios.

Experience and Skills

• Associate’s degree or equivalent from 2-year college (preferred)
• At least 5 years of related experience and/or training (preferred)
• Mechanical assembly skills and ability to read blueprints/manuals/electrical schematics
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting, calibration, and maintenance skills and some electrical aptitude
• Excellent communication skills paired with the ability to effectively engage with both internal and external customers at all levels
• Ability to work successfully with little to no direct supervision
• Effective time management and cost control skills
• A clean driving record isrequired(company car is provided)
• Availability to travel daily Monday to Friday withinan assignedterritory
• Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 50lbs
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
• Walking extended distances
• Standing for extended times up to 75% of the day
• This rolerequires up to 50% travel.
