Job summary

H. T. PROF Group is seeking a Field Service Technician to provide professional installation, service and support for Packaging and Automation customers.

The role involves coordinating equipment installs, system startups, training operators, and performing preventative maintenance at customer sites, with travel required. The position is remote with travel, interfacing with sales and project management to ensure successful installations and post-install support.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents including safety rules, operating and maintaining instructions, schematics and procedure manuals.
• Ability to review and understand mechanical and electrical drawing packages.
• Able to read wiring diagrams to trace electrical circuits and ensure proper operation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate equipment and system installations and ensure proper function.
• Calibrate HMIs, meters, and set timers per manuals.
• Train operators and maintenance personnel.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Provide phone and onsite customer support.
• Maintain knowledge of product functions and applications.
• Complete service reports and follow through on next steps.
