Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support the Hugo robotic-assisted surgery platform. You will install, maintain, and repair advanced medical technologies at healthcare sites, traveling across the assigned territory to ensure system reliability and patient care excellence.

You will collaborate with clinical staff and engineering teams, delivering hands-on technical support and training while solving complex issues and driving product improvements.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in clinical field service, clinical customer support, medical device service, or technical equipment support.
• Experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing complex equipment or integrated systems.
• Experience supporting customers in a field-based technical service environment.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and upgrade medical equipment and integrated systems at customer sites.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, software, and system-level issues to minimize downtime.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and system performance evaluations.
• Execute equipment repairs, modifications, and engineering change implementations.
• Provide technical guidance and operational training to clinical and customer support teams.
• Document service activities, technical findings, and corrective actions accurately.
• Collaborate with engineering and technical support teams to resolve complex customer challenges.
• Build trusted relationships with customers through responsive and professional service.
