Job summary

Medtronic plc is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support CST Imaging and Surgical Robotics systems across the San Antonio area. The role is field-based, with approximately 50% travel outside the territory to meet regional business needs and customer requirements.

You will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade large capital equipment while coordinating with clinical customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure system performance and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in customer support, mechanical or electrical field service.
• Ability to travel approximately 50% within and outside the territory.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing technical equipment in customer-facing environments.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, verify, perform corrective maintenance, preventive maintenance, and de-installation of O-arm, imaging, AiBLE, and Mazor systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and technical issues to restore equipment performance and minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation per regulatory and company requirements.
• Coordinate service activities with customers and internal partners to ensure timely completion of work.
• Analyze field service data to identify trends and opportunities for product improvements.
• Provide feedback to Engineering and cross-functional teams to support product enhancements.
