Job summary

Stereotaxis is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, repair, modify, and perform preventative maintenance on its robotic systems in hospital environments. The role involves on-site work, remote diagnosis, and close collaboration with clinical staff to ensure uptime and patient safety.

The ideal candidate has an electronics background, 1–3+ years in field service, and experience in diagnostic x-ray or catheter labs. You will travel 50–100% and support after-hours service as needed.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in electronics or relevant technical subject preferred.
• 1–3+ years' experience in field service preferred.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing electromechanical systems.
• Experience in diagnostic x-ray and catheter lab environments preferred.
• Ability to work independently at customer sites and escalate problems as needed.
• Good communication skills with customers.
• Windows experience including TCP/IP protocols.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, install, repair, modify, and perform preventative maintenance of all Stereotaxis technology
• Interface with customers to obtain accurate details of the equipment service needs and provide updates regarding the progress of the service/installation
• Create or modify service documentation such as installation, service, periodic maintenance, and troubleshooting manuals
• Maintain reporting documentation to ensure compliance with company and government requirements. Examples include expense reports, field service reports, complaint handling, etc.
• Perform remote support and diagnosis when not actively deployed in the field
