Farmers Insurance in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Field Property Adjuster. You will conduct on-site investigations at policyholders’ homes to assess damage, determine liability, and negotiate fair settlements.

You will use claims handling software, a company car, and a laptop in a paperless environment, with occasional travel. A high school diploma and strong customer service are required, along with excellent communication skills.

Competenze

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent customer service experience, preferably in a retail environment.
• Construction or insurance experience is desirable and preferred.
• Excellent communication skills – both oral and written.
• Computer literate: MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Proficiency with smartphones and applications.
• Eagerness to learn about insurance policies and property damage.
• Outgoing personality that would enjoy interacting with a wide variety of people including policyholders, claimants, agents, witnesses, and investigators.

• Conduct virtual and on-site investigations by visiting policyholders’ residences to assess property damage and negotiate fair settlements.
• Use claims handling software, a company car, and a laptop in a paperless environment.
• Evaluate and report on potential subrogation opportunities.
• Report incidents involving theft, fraud, or arson to appropriate state and industry agencies.
• Engage with policyholders, claimants, agents, witnesses, contractors, and investigators as needed.
• Negotiate settlements with policyholders using strong customer service and communication skills.
• Promote safety and comply with safety/ergonomic standards.
