Job summary

Premier Nutrition Company (PNC) is seeking a Market Development Manager to own a territory and grow store-level business across the United States. This field-based role builds relationships with retailers and distributor partners, identifies opportunities to expand distribution, and ensures plans translate into in-store results.

The work involves frequent local travel, riding with distributor teams, stocking displays, and collaborating to optimize execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in field sales, DSD, beverage/CPG, distributor sales, merchandising, supplier sales, or a comparable environment with direct retail execution.
• Demonstrated ability to call on retail accounts, sell incremental opportunities, and manage priorities across a territory.
• Experience working with distributor teams or successfully navigating a distributor-led environment.
• Ability to operate independently, manage a fast-moving field schedule, use data and KPIs to prioritize work.
• Experience in beverage, convenience, DSD/distribution, or another fast-paced environment where you have been responsible for both selling and store-level execution is especially helpful.

Responsibilities

• Own an assigned territory and deliver against sales, distribution, display, and execution goals.
• Call on chain and independent retailers, open new accounts, close distribution gaps, and identify incremental growth opportunities.
• Sell new SKUs, displays, and secondary placements, then follow through to ensure execution happens in store.
• Use data and KPIs to prioritize opportunities and focus time where it can have the greatest impact.
• Take a hands-on approach to execution, including building, filling, and maintaining displays when needed.
• Maintain territory planning, reporting, scorecard updates, expenses, and other administrative responsibilities.
