Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking an experienced ECH Field Engineer to lead deployment and integration of Emergency Call Handling solutions. The role covers on-site and cloud-hosted environments, with significant travel across the US and internationally.

You’ll configure, test, and document deployments, work with customers and partners, and stay current with cloud-native public safety tech. Requires a engineering/IT degree and 5+ years in engineering/technical settings, plus cloud, Windows/Linux,

Qualifications

College degree in Engineering, IT, or Technology.
3+ years of experience in deployment or integration of complex IP products and systems.
Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Practitioner).
Experience with cloud-based application troubleshooting including connectivity, latency and identity management (SSO/AD).
Experience with installation, administration, and troubleshooting of virtualized servers (VMware ESXi, Hyper-V).
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server versions (2008 R2/2012/2016/2022).
Windows Server 2012/2016/2022 and Windows 10/11 knowledge.
Familiarity with Cisco IOS, Fortinet FortiGate, and basic firewall/Router concepts.
Telephony knowledge on analog lines and PRI up to basic configuration/termination.
US passport or eligibility for international travel (up to 75%).
Public Safety Applications deployment/intro preferred.
US citizen with ability to obtain required security clearance.

Responsibilities

Configures and tests ECH solutions including hybrid cloud and SaaS.
Performs site verification testing before production cutover.
Sets up and troubleshoots connectivity between local site and cloud environments.
Documents changes to cloud tenants and API integrations during deployment.
Resolves installation/quality issues promptly during deployments.
Develops and approves methods for cloud migrations and system upgrades.
Participates in pre-contract presentations and customer negotiations.
Maintains skills in emerging cloud-native public safety technologies.
