Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking an Emergency Call Handling Field Engineer to lead deployment and integration of ECH solutions across remote sites in the U.S. and abroad. The role requires hands-on configuration, testing, and post-cut support for hybrid cloud and on-premise deployments.

The ideal candidate has ~3+ years in deploying complex IP products, cloud experience, and strong multitasking skills to manage travel-heavy assignments, customer interactions, and partner coordination.

Qualifications

• 5+ years deploying or integrating complex IP products and systems.
• Cloud Certifications: AWS Practitioner, Microsoft CompTIA Network+ and Security+.
• Experience with cloud-based application troubleshooting, including connectivity, latency analysis, and identity management (SSO/Active Directory).
• Experience with installation, administration, and troubleshooting of: Server Virtualization, specifically VMware ESXi and Hyper-V 2012+.
• MS SQL Server 2008 R2–2022; Windows Server 2012–2022.
• Windows 10/11; Linux; Cisco IOS; Fortinet FortiGate.
• Telephony knowledge related to analog lines and PRI; basic Active Directory knowledge for accounts/roles.
• Able to operate independently using guides and remote support options; self-manage time within deployment team.
• Familiar with virtual machine deployments and hosted systems; Cisco switch configurations.
• US passport or eligibility for international travel up to 75%.
• Public Safety Applications deployment experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs system configuration for ECH solutions, including hybrid cloud and SaaS-based applications.
• Performs site verification testing prior to cutting a site into production.
• Configures and troubleshoots connectivity between local site infrastructure and cloud-hosted environments.
• Provides support to Customer and Channel Partners during deployment.
• Documents changes to cloud tenants and API integrations that may occur during deployment.
• Ensures installation/quality issues are resolved promptly.
• Participates in the development and approval of Methods of Procedure (MOP) for cloud migrations and upgrades.
• Participates in pre-contract oral presentations and customer negotiations as required.
• Maintains subject matter expert skills in emerging cloud-native public safety technologies.
