Job summary

Motorola Solutions seeks an Emergency Call Handling Field Engineer to implement and support ECH solutions across on-premise and cloud environments. This remote role requires extensive travel, including international assignments.

You will configure systems, run site verification tests, troubleshoot connectivity, document configurations, and support customers and partners during deployments. Strong cloud, virtualization, Windows/Linux, and clearance readiness are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years deploying or integrating complex IP products and systems.
• Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS, Microsoft, CompTIA Network+ and Security+).
• Experience with cloud-based troubleshooting including connectivity and identity (SSO/AD).
• Server virtualization experience (VMware ESXi, Hyper-V).
• Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2/2012/2016/2022 experience.
• Windows Server 2012/2016/2022 and Windows 10/11 experience.
• Networking with Cisco IOS; Fortinet FortiGate knowledge.
• Telephony knowledge related to analog lines and PRI.
• US passport or eligibility for international travel up to 75%.
• Public Safety Applications deployment/integration experience; ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Performs system configuration for all ECH solutions including hybrid cloud and SaaS.
• Performs site verification testing prior to production cutover.
• Configures and troubleshoots connectivity between local and cloud environments.
• Supports customers and channel partners during deployment.
• Documents changes including cloud tenant configurations and API integrations.
• Ensures installation issues are resolved timely.
• Develops and approves Methods of Procedure for cloud migrations and upgrades.
• Participates in pre-contract presentations and customer negotiations.
• Maintains subject matter expertise in emerging cloud-native public safety technologies.
