Job summary

Motorola Solutions seeks an Emergency Call Handling Field Engineer to design, configure, test, and support ECH deployments across on-premise and cloud environments. The role is remote with extensive travel across the US and internationally, requiring strong networking, cloud, and telephony skills.

You will work with customers and partners, document changes, and help develop procedures for cloud migrations while staying current with public safety tech trends.

Qualifications

• College degree in Engineering, IT, or Technology.
• 5+ years of experience in engineering or technical environment.
• US work authorization to work in the US.
• US citizenship with ability to obtain security clearance as required by government contract.

Responsibilities

• Performs system configuration for ECH solutions, including hybrid cloud and SaaS-based applications.
• Site verification testing prior to production cut.
• Configures and troubleshoots connectivity between local site infrastructure and cloud environments.
• Provides support to Customer and Channel Partners during deployment.
• Documents changes to cloud tenant configurations and API integrations.
• Ensures installation/quality issues are resolved in a timely manner.
• Participates in the development and approval of Methods of Procedure for cloud migrations and upgrades.
• Participates in pre-contract oral presentations and customer negotiations.
• Maintains subject matter expertise in cloud-native public safety technologies.
