Job summary

Sartorius is seeking a Field Applications Specialist to support downstream processing technologies across the Northeast from a remote base. You will translate customer needs into product recommendations, run trials, and train customers on chromatography, TFF, and related consumables.

You will troubleshoot issues, collaborate with Sales and Quality, and travel extensively to customer sites. A life sciences degree with 3+ years of field experience is required; a Master’s is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years in application/support or customer-facing roles in downstream processing or MSAT.
• Biologics manufacturing experience; C&T therapy exposure is a plus.
• 1+ year in biologics process development and monoclonal antibodies; other modalities helpful.
• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills; cross-functional collaboration.
• Willingness to travel >50% and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Translate process requirements into product/workflow recommendations for downstream systems.
• Design, coordinate, and document evaluation plans; onboard customers and report outcomes.
• Troubleshoot inquiries and coordinate corrective actions with stakeholders.
• Contribute technical insights during opportunity development and competitive positioning.
• Analyze field feedback and product usage to support portfolio enhancements.
• Support training of other Field Application Specialists and Sales teams.
• Train customers on new technologies and assist with start-up activities.
• Support quality investigations and document technical analyses.
• Provide monthly territory activity reports to management.
