Job summary

Sartorius in the United States is seeking a Field Applications Specialist-(Chrom/TFF) to support downstream processing technologies across the Mid-Atlantic/Southeast region from a remote base. You will translate customer needs into product and workflow recommendations, perform trials and trainings, and collaborate with Sales, Product Management, and Quality to drive successful implementations.

The role requires 3+ years in application or technical support in downstream processes, biologics

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent professional experience.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in application support, technical support, field applications, or similar customer-facing roles within downstream processing or MSAT environments.
• Biologics manufacturing experience; exposure to cell/gene therapy is an advantage.
• 1+ year of in-depth knowledge of biologics process development and scale‑up for monoclonal antibodies; other modalities beneficial.
• Ability to troubleshoot in customer environments and demonstrate/deliver trainings.
• Strong collaboration with Sales, Product Management, Quality, and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Translate process requirements into product/workflow recommendations for downstream systems.
• Design, coordinate, and document customer evaluations and trainings to drive implementation.
• Troubleshoot technical inquiries and product performance issues with stakeholders.
• Provide technical insights and competitive positioning to support opportunities.
• Capture feedback and trends to inform portfolio improvements.
• Support training and development of other Field Application Specialists and Sales team.
