Job summary

Merck is seeking a Field Access Manager to serve as the subject-matter expert on access issues for healthcare professionals and organizations. The remote/field-based role requires coordinating with field sales, patient support, and market access to ensure timely patient access to therapy.

The FAM will analyze access trends, educate providers on access processes, and collaborate with internal teams to resolve barriers while complying with HIPAA and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 7+ years in patient support, pharma/healthcare sales or reimbursement.
• Strong knowledge of health insurance structures and access processes.
• HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality expertise.

Responsibilities

• Provide information and education to HCP accounts on patient access and related processes.
• Analyze access trends and payer coverage impacts.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to address barriers to patient access.
• Educate field teams on access programs and hub processes.
• Coordinate with hub vendor on patient cases and access issues.
• Attend National and Regional Meetings.
