Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to plan, execute, and manage a variety of client events in Welkom, Free State. The role blends strong virtual collaboration with occasional on-site setup to ensure flawless delivery from concept to completion.

You will develop concepts, timelines, and budgets, source and liaise with vendors, and oversee setup, execution, and post-event evaluations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in event planning and coordination.
• Excellent organizational, project management, and multitasking skills.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management capabilities.
• Proficiency in event planning software and virtual collaboration tools.
• Creative thinking and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and execute various events, including conferences, banquets, and corporate functions.
• Develop event concepts, themes, and detailed timelines in collaboration with clients.
• Manage event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial guidelines.
• Source and liaise with vendors, including caterers, decorators, and entertainment providers.
• Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown, ensuring all logistical aspects are managed efficiently.
• Conduct post-event evaluations and client debriefings to gather feedback for future improvements.
