Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Event Coordinator to plan and execute a variety of events in and around Paarl, handling planning, budgeting, vendor coordination, and on-site execution to reflect positively on the client’s brand.

The role offers growth in the Cape Winelands, with opportunities to work at unique venues, travel regionally for site visits, and join a vibrant, supportive team focused on delivering memorable experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Hospitality Management, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in event planning and coordination.
• Strong organizational and multi-tasking capabilities.
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and manage all aspects of events including venue, catering, entertainment, and staffing.
• Develop detailed event budgets and manage expenses to ensure profitability.
• Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and sponsors to negotiate contracts and timely service delivery.
• Oversee on-site event operations and troubleshoot issues for seamless execution.
• Conduct post-event evaluations and analyze results to inform future events.
