Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst to map, analyze and optimize Epic-based clinical and business processes. The role involves requirements documentation, testing, and coordinating with clinical users and vendors.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field and at least 3 years in an IT/clinical environment, with strong BPM, testing and project management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required.
• Typically 3 years in IT or clinical environment with process mapping, analysis, requirements, testing and documentation.
• Experience with Epic and other healthcare applications.
• Strong project management and communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify, map, measure, analyze and improve clinical and business processes for Epic applications.
• Perform workflow analysis and map critical business processes using BPM techniques.
• Prepare business requirements, data flow diagrams, and models for discussion.
• Configure systems to meet business requirements and develop test plans and scenarios.
• Develop training materials and deliver end-user training as appropriate.
• Communicate project status and upgrades to clinic users; manage version upgrades.
