Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced Epic Analyst to map, analyze, and optimize clinical workflows within Epic. The role will require on-call support, remote work, and collaboration with health-system teams across multiple states.

You will translate user needs into technical specs and drive system improvements while ensuring regulatory and quality standards are maintained. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in IT/clinical environments, strong Epic knowledge, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• 3 years in IT or clinical environment with process mapping, requirements, testing and documentation
• Experience analyzing Epic and other healthcare applications
• Ability to translate user requirements into system specifications
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Identify, map, measure, analyze and improve clinical and business processes for Epic applications
• Perform workflow analysis and map critical business processes using best practices
• Prepare documentation for business requirements using diagrams and data models
• Evaluate whether proposed solutions meet business and clinical needs
• Translate user requirements into functional and technical design specifications
• Prioritize requirements based on business needs and impact of changes
• Configure systems to meet business requirements and support changes
• Develop test plans, cases and scripts to validate performance
• Conduct unit, integration, system and end-user testing
• Provide training materials and train end-users as appropriate
• Explain system functionality to users and assist with full application usage
• Document current workflows and troubleshooting guidelines
• Manage version upgrades and communicate status to users
