Job summary

BECU is seeking a Senior BI/Data Visualization Engineer to design dashboards and reporting solutions using Tableau and Power BI. You will translate complex business questions into actionable data stories, partnering with stakeholders across Marketing, Finance, Treasury, Risk, and Product.

The role emphasizes governance, standards, and mentoring analysts, with exposure to stakeholders up to executive level. Washington-based with hybrid/remote options within approved locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in CS/IT/Business/Math or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years delivering enterprise BI, dashboards, and analytics.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate requirements into reports.
• Working knowledge of SQL and enterprise BI administration.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Design dashboards and reports using Tableau and Power BI for enterprise decisions.
• Turn complex business questions into clear data stories for multiple functions.
• Collaborate with business leaders, BI engineers, and analysts to deliver scalable reports.
• Champion data visualization standards, governance, and design best practices.
• Administer Tableau/Power BI environments, permissions, and governance.
• Mentor analysts on dashboard design and storytelling techniques.
• Evaluate trends to improve reporting capabilities and user experience.
• Deliver technical demonstrations and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Coordinate with Data Management and Analytics teams for trusted reporting.
• Support data governance and consistent reporting practices.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
