Affirm is remote-first, paying attention to the moments that matter by building a transparent, equity-backed platform. You will lead backend strategy for a high-availability system, partnering with product, design, and analytics to deliver measurable business impact.

You will own operations, drive quality engineering, and help grow talent across a distributed team, while aligning with Affirm's equity and compensation framework.

Competenze

• 8+ years designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale.
• Experience with Python or Kotlin in production.
• Strong background in distributed systems and high-availability.
• Proven ability to define technical strategy and drive cross-team execution.
• Experience with AWS, MySQL, Spark, and Kubernetes.
• Strong communication and collaboration with global teams.
