Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale.
• Extensive track record of developing highly available distributed systems using AWS, MySQL, Spark and Kubernetes.
• Experience delivering major features and writing high-quality code that others can easily understand.

Responsibilities

• Set technical strategy for your team on a year-long timescale and align it with business-impacting projects.
• Collaborate across product management, design and analytics to ensure technical sustainability, risks and trade-offs are understood.
• Advocate for robust technical solutions and operational processes.
• Own team operations and availability with monitoring, triage rotations, playbooks, testing and alerting.
