Job summary

Omada Health seeks an Engineering Manager to lead two squads building the Platform and Engineering Systems. You’ll own delivery, roadmap, and team growth, while writing code alongside AI‑powered engineers.

You’ll manage budgets, audit controls, and vendor relations, shaping priorities and architecture with stakeholders across engineering, product, design, and legal. You will hire, mentor, and grow a high‑performing team, maintain operational health, and push for automation.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering, incl. 2+ years managing engineers
• Track record shipping production software and owning post‑launch outcomes
• Ability to build roadmaps, plan capacity, negotiate with stakeholders
• Experience owning prioritisation and estimation for a team
• Direct developmental feedback experience, including handling underperformance
• Currently shipping production code across stack (AWS, CI, k8s, Ruby/Python)
• Hands‑on experience directing AI agents in production
• Security‑minded design and telemetry awareness
• Excellent written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Manage, hire, and mentor five engineers; scale teams as needed
• Own squad delivery: sprint shaping, prioritization, backlog grooming and estimation
• Own cycle time with quality targets; explain trade‑offs to stakeholders
• Ship production code each sprint in the same codebase and workflows
• Grow engineers with strong leadership and development opportunities
• Own squad operational health: on‑call, MTTR, incident reviews
• Escalate early, with precise trade‑offs and recommendations
• Hire the next generation of AI‑augmented engineers
