Job summary

Omada Health is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our agentic systems team, powering AI Transformation across Engineering, Product, and Design in a virtual-first environment.

You will build and evolve AI-powered backend services and integrate with AWS Bedrock, OpenAI, and other platforms while collaborating with Platform, DevOps, Security, and Infrastructure teams to ensure secure, observable, and scalable workflows.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience building infrastructure and developer tools.
• Experience with backend services, APIs, and event-driven designs.
• Hands-on with a modern LLM platform and orchestration layers.
• Proficiency in at least one backend language (Python/Go/TS).
• Familiarity with AWS, Terraform, and secure-by-default patterns.
• Ability to translate workflows into technical requirements and communicate tradeoffs.
• Experience delivering AI-powered developer tools and chatops workflows.

Responsibilities

• Build AI-powered tools into engineers’ day-to-day workflows.
• Implement and evolve inference and tool-calling pathways using AI models.
• Collaborate across Engineering to define AI-augmented SDLC patterns.
• Prototype and harden Slack-based chatops experiences for internal services.
• Instrument and monitor AI usage, performance, and costs.
• Ensure AI workflows handle PHI/PII safely with security and compliance teams.
• Create reusable examples, templates, and internal libraries.
• Contribute to training, documentation, and office hours for engineers, PMs, and designers.
