Job summary

Omada Health is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to own a significant portion of our Member-facing surface. You will decide what gets built, in what order, and how the team grows, while staying hands-on in the codebase and architecture reviews.

You will partner with Product Strategists to ensure deliverability, cost, and timing, influencing the roadmap with your senior perspective and experience managing leaders.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering, including 4+ years managing engineers directly.
• Experience developing and mentoring leaders; track record of growing talent.
• Ship mission-critical software to production and own post-release issues.
• Experience owning prioritization and estimation for a team with clear tradeoffs.
• Direct developmental feedback experience, incl. guiding underperformance with support.
• Currently shipping production code across backend, frontend, mobile, or multiple layers.
• Comfort with an expert-generalist model and AI agents in production changes.
• Understanding CI/CD, logging, monitoring, and telemetry at an actionable level.
• Excellent written communication to document decisions clearly.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery across your squads: sprint shaping, prioritization, backlog grooming, estimation.
• Own cycle time; explain changes and the reasons behind different squad performance.
• Stay technical: ship production work directly or review architecture for indirect squads.
• Partner with Product Strategist to align scope and timelines with squad capabilities.
• Grow a manager; support squad health and leadership development.
• Plan headcount and skill mix for the next year and onboarding paths.
• Set AI standards and share them so others can reuse the framework.
