Job summary

Omada Health, Inc. is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead two squads building Omada’s Platform and Engineering Systems. You will own execution, ship production code every sprint, and guide your engineers through growth and on-call responsibilities.

You will partner with Engineering, Product, Design, IT, InfoSec, Legal, Compliance, and Procurement while managing vendor budgets and audits. You are expected to own roadmaps, balance trade-offs, and mentor your team to deliver high-impact work.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering, including at least 2 years managing engineers
• Track record shipping mission-critical software to production
• Ability to build a roadmap, plan for capacity, evaluate trade-offs, and negotiate with stakeholders
• Experience owning prioritization and estimation for a team
• Experience giving direct developmental feedback and coaching
• Currently shipping production code in at least one stack layer (AWS, CI, k8s, Ruby/Python, GitOps)
• Hands-on experience directing AI agents in production
• Understanding of CI/CD, logging, monitoring, telemetry
• Security-minded in design and build
• Excellent written communication

Responsibilities

• Manage, hire, and mentor a 5-person team with growth potential
• Own the squad's delivery: sprint shaping, prioritization, backlog grooming, estimation
• Own cycle time with quality; explain the value of tradeoffs to stakeholders
• Ship production code every sprint, in the same codebase and workflows as the squad
• Grow engineers and provide strong leadership
• Own operational health: on-call, MTTR, post-incident analysis
• Escalate tradeoffs early with data-driven recommendations
• Hire the next generation of AI-augmented Omadans
