Job summary

Apollo.io is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead one of the largest engineering teams responsible for the daily surface used by enterprise reps. You will guide the team through major shifts, including AI-driven recommendations, and collaborate closely with GTM, Product, and Design to deliver high-quality software at speed.

Expect to hire, mentor, and scale engineers, maintain high standards, and own technical direction while balancing delivery and reliability across a growing user base.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands on software engineering experience.
• 3–5 years of people management, leading senior engineers and managers.
• Proven track record of technical leadership: strong fundamentals in software architecture at scale and cross-team collaboration.
• Experience with Ruby and Python.
• Understanding of data privacy and security fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Participate in key technical decision making discussions such as sprint planning, software design, and code reviews.
• Help build and scale a strong engineering team by sourcing and hiring candidates.
• Share on-call responsibilities and ensure it does not overshadow roadmap work.
• Be a technical leader with hands-on mentorship and occasional coding when needed.
• Own sizing, estimation, and technical direction; act as technical counterpart to product lead.
