Job summary

Apollo.io is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a large, visible team delivering the daily surface reps use to manage accounts, contacts, tasks, and dashboards. You’ll help shape the next-gen decision layer with prioritization, AI-driven recommendations, and robust workflows for enterprise customers.

You will hire and mentor engineers, balance on-call duties with roadmap work, and collaborate closely with Product, Design, and GTM to ship impact at scale in a remote-first environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands on software engineering experience leading teams.
• 3–5 years of people management, preferably leading senior engineers and managers.
• Proven track record of technical leadership: software architecture at scale, governance, and cross-team coordination.
• Experience with Ruby and Python in production environments.
• Understanding of data privacy and security fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Define goals and expectations for the engineering team.
• Drive culture of excellence, learning, and fun.
• Observe and improve development and management processes.
• Collaborate with engineering leadership, PMs, and designers to ship high-quality software quickly.
• Partner with GTM to align engineering outputs with customer needs.
• Participate in sprint planning, architecture decisions, and code reviews.
• Scale the team by sourcing and hiring strong engineers.
• Share ownership of on-call and roadmap trade-offs.
