Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an Energy Storage Project Executive to lead multiple solar, battery storage, and high-voltage substation projects nationwide. You will oversee planning, scheduling, cost control, and client relations across multiple departments, including engineering, controls, finance, and field operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of work-related experience in design and/or construction of utility or commercial/industrial infrastructure projects.
• Direct relevant industry experience and knowledge related to construction and operation of electrical equipment and installation.
• Fundamental knowledge of contract law and project accounting.
• Leadership ability to pull together a remote project team and organize it into a cohesive group.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to work with others under all situations.
• Ability to analyze, troubleshoot and prioritize problems independently.
• Effective written and verbal English communication skills.
• Proficiency with office practices, procedures and equipment.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize and coordinate.
• P6 scheduling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of multiple project teams simultaneously.
• Review and negotiate complex contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Review and approve project schedules, estimates, budgets, and profit margin.
• Make project level executive decisions on cost and risk impacts.
• Provide leadership on change management events involving Owners, Subcontractors, and regulators.
• Support other departments including business development, estimating, and services.
• Hire, train, and mentor team members for varied roles on project teams.
• Develop and maintain standards and processes to improve the business.
• Perform all Project Manager responsibilities including scheduling, cost control, procurement, and client satisfaction.
• Maintain relationships with Owner, Engineer, and Subcontractors with prompt owner notification of impacts.
• Oversee cost forecasting and estimated cost at completion, and ensure timely reporting.
• Oversee project billings and maximize cash flow; pursue collection of aged receivables.
• Present and negotiate change orders with owners for timely resolution.
• Coordinate and document routine project update meetings with client and internal stakeholders.
• Identify needs, develop scopes of work, and hire appropriate third parties to execute the work.
• Coordinate with material suppliers to ensure timely deliveries and address supply-chain challenges.
• Review contract conditions for compliance; document significant project events and risks.
• Promote SOLV safety standards and OSHA policies.
• Promote company values and maintain professional representation of the company.
