Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking an Energy Storage Project Executive to lead multiple solar, storage, and high voltage substation projects. The role encompasses overseeing engineering, project controls, finance, and field operations with profit accountability.

The position may be fully remote or hybrid with regular in-office presence in San Diego, CA. You will direct scheduling, cost control, and client relations while driving safety and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of work experience in design/construction of utility or commercial/industrial infrastructure projects.
• Direct relevant industry experience preferred with electrical equipment expertise.
• Fundamental knowledge of contract law and project accounting.
• Leadership ability to manage remote, diverse teams into high-performing units.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills in English.
• Proficiency with office practices and equipment; ability to prioritize.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of multiple project teams simultaneously.
• Review and negotiate complex contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Review and approve project schedules, estimates, budgets, and profit margin.
• Make executive project-level decisions impacting cost and risk.
• Lead complex change management events with Owners, Subcontractors, and regulators.
• Support other departments including business development, estimating, and services.
• Hire, train, and mentor team members for various roles on project teams.
• Develop standards and processes to improve the business.
• Coordinate with execution team on scheduling, cost control, procurement, and client satisfaction.
• Maintain timely reporting on cost forecasting and completion estimates.
• Oversee project billings to maximize cash flow and reduce pay cycles.
• Present and negotiate change orders with owners.
• Coordinate and document routine project update meetings with clients and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms and safety policies.
