Job summary

Huntington National Bank is seeking an Employee Relations Consultant to provide strategic oversight for ER across a defined region and business segments. You will advise managers and HR partners on policies, resolve complex issues, and document cases to mitigate risk.

The role requires 3+ years in ER, a HR-related degree (or HS diploma with experience), and strong knowledge of state and federal labor laws. The position is office-based with potential flexible arrangements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources or business-related field.
• In lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree, a High School Diploma and 4 additional years of HR experience (total 7 years).
• Minimum of 3 years in Employee Relations or related HR discipline, including experience enforcing labor laws.

Responsibilities

• Advise managers and employees on HR policies, conflict resolution, and performance management.
• Resolve moderately complex employee relations issues.
• Document and track ER cases with clear justifications in the Case Management system.
• Support internal audits and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with training and management to address skill gaps and promote best practices.
• Monitor and report ER trends and metrics.
• Participate in grievance procedures and compliance documentation.
• Support HR initiatives and special projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
