Cox Automotive is seeking an Employee Relations Business Partner to provide guidance on disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and termination reviews. You will work with leaders, HR partners, and Legal to ensure compliant, consistent decisions across the organization.

The role requires strong investigation skills, data interpretation, and collaboration across teams, with remote work options and up to 25% travel likely.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Experience supporting leaders with disciplinary actions, performance issues, and terminations.
• Knowledge of state and federal employment laws and union avoidance.

Responsibilities

• Advise leaders on employee relations matters with strong listening and investigative skills.
• Use Workday and ServiceNow to review disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and termination reviews.
• Collaborate with ER team, HRBPs, Legal, and other stakeholders to align with company values.
• Interpret policies and educate employees to ensure consistent, compliant application.
• Own assigned ER cases in the case management system and Ethics Hotline where applicable.
• Analyze ER trends and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Promote a positive ER environment and timely issue resolution.
• Assist with information gathering related to legal complaints and charges.
• Serve as backup for ER intake role and conduct less complex investigations.
