Job summary

Cox Automotive is seeking an Employee Relations Business Partner to advise leaders on disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, involuntary terminations, and related investigations. You will partner with Legal, HRBPs, and others to deliver consistent, values-driven guidance while maintaining a strong focus on compliance and documentation.

The role supports 100% remote work with up to 25% travel, and requires a Bachelor’s in HR/Business or related field with 2+ years’ ER experience;

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field plus 2 years’ HR/Employee Relations experience; master’s or more years may apply.
• Experience supporting disciplinary actions, conduct issues, performance improvement plans, and involuntary terminations.
• Knowledge of state and federal employment laws and union avoidance.

Responsibilities

• Advise leaders on disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and termination reviews with strong interviewing skills.
• Review actions using Workday and ServiceNow, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Partner with ER, HRBPs, Legal, and other teams to align recommendations with company values.
• Ensure compliance by interpreting policies and educating stakeholders as needed.
• Manage assigned ER cases with proper documentation in case systems and ethics hotline if used.
• Analyze ER trends and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Support HRBP teams to foster a positive ER environment and timely issue resolution.
• Assist with data gathering related to legal complaints and charges.
• Provide coverage for ER intake as needed and conduct less complex investigations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
