Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Transmission Line Project Engineer to join our Power Delivery Team. This role offers flexible arrangements with remote work or office options across the Southeast, including Birmingham, AL, and nearby locations.

You will provide technical leadership for planning, design, and delivery of high‑voltage overhead transmission lines, lead project teams, and coordinate with clients while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
• 7-10 years’ experience in transmission design and project leadership
• PE licensure
• Knowledge of NESC, RUS or GO-95
• Strong knowledge of transmission line fundamentals and PLS-CADD
• Proficient in MS Office and strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver engineering of transmission projects up to 765 kV
• Develop project execution layouts and schedules
• Coordinate with clients and multidisciplinary teams
• Ensure QA/QC procedures and safety standards
• Mentor staff and lead project teams
• Travel to client offices/field facilities as needed
