Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Transmission Line Project Engineer to join our Power Delivery Team. This role provides technical leadership for planning, design, and delivery of high‑voltage overhead transmission projects up to 765 kV, with flexible remote or office-based work across the South-Central region.

You will manage scopes, schedules, and budgets with multidisciplinary teams, mentor staff, and coordinate with clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• 7–10 years’ experience in transmission project design/management.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure required.
• Strong knowledge of NESC, RUS and GO-95 guidelines.
• Solid understanding of transmission line fundamentals and PLS-CADD.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
• Commitment to safety policies and practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering of transmission projects up to 765 kV.
• Create and maintain project schedules and plans.
• Coordinate with clients and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Support Project Managers with scope, schedule, and budget.
• Travel to client offices/field facilities as needed.
• Ensure QA/QC procedures are followed across projects.
