Job summary

CoxFleet is seeking a Mobile Diesel Technician II to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, and light repairs in a mobile/field setting. You’ll diagnose mechanical/electrical issues, test and road‑test trucks, and maintain a company service truck with daily pre/post trip checks.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, ASE T8 certification within 18 months, and a valid driver’s license. Training and a strong career path are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 3 years related field experience, or equivalent.
• Own a set of hand tools to perform required duties; ASE T8 certification within 18 months.
• Must pass DOT-regulated pre-employment screening and DOT physical.
• Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform PM, DOT inspections and repairs in mobile/field environment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems on trucks.
• Inspect, road test, and document RO findings using company iOS tool.
• Obtain parts from local/national vendors and communicate estimates for approvals.
• Maintain service truck, perform safety checks, and ensure OSHA/DOT compliance.
• Coordinate with clients to meet needs and schedule daily tasks.
